PADI Dry Suit Speciality & Dive in Silfra!

On day 1 we complete the PADI Dry Suit Speciality, including a theory session, a confined water dive and two open water dives.  The open water dives are completed in Lake Kleifarvatn or Lake Thingvallavatn.  

On day 2,  after you have completed the Dry Suit Specialty Course successfully, we will be ready to dive one of the best dive sites the Silfra Fissure. In Silfra you will get to go on two guided dives in this underwater wonderland with visibility out of this world.

Availability: May to October only. This course requires two dives to be done in one day which is not always possible in the winter months.

Requirements: PADI open water certificate or equivalent along with Drysuit certification or logbook with 10 logged drysuit dives in the last two years is required. All dives are performed in a dry suit. Divers have to supply their sizes of suit upon booking. Must have dived in the last 2 years before diving Silfra. Must be at least 18 years old and understand instructions in English. You will also need to fill out a PADI medical form.

Difficulty: Demanding.

Excluded: The PADI Dry Suit Speciality Manual is excluded from the course price and costs ISK 4.990,- extra.
To save time study it and fill out the Knowledge Reviews in the PADI Dry Suit Speciality Manual before the course.

Please bring: Your PADI Open Water diving certification or equivalent from any recognized diving organization, without your certification, you are not allowed to dive. Also, good warm long underwear and thick socks are always recommended.

Itinerary:  On day one you will take the PADI Dry Suit Specialty course by completing a confined water session, knowledge development session and then graduate with two dives in open water. This will be approximately a 9-10 hour day and end up with a PADI Dry Suit Specialty Certification. Pick up and drop off from Reykjavík is included.
The next day we will pick you up from Reykjavík and take you on a guided tour of the magnificent Silfra Fissure including two dives. With pick up and drop off the diving in Silfra day tour is around 6-8 hours but if you choose to meet us on location the duration can range from 3-5 hours.
